Day 53: You Were Born to Fly
There were two eagle eggs that a hen was hatching in the barnyard.
One of the eaglets — they called him Sky — kept looking up.
The other — Earth — learned to live like a chicken.
Sky one day saw a real eagle soaring on the horizon.
He left the barnyard and never came back.
He flew over mountains, rivers, the ocean.
And he found others who told him: "You are an eagle. You were born to fly."
Earth stayed behind. It was more comfortable.
And ended up on the Christmas dinner table.
