Alabar tu Comida

We eat most of our meals without tasting them — standing up, in a hurry, staring at a phone. Three times a day a small ceremony is offered to us, and almost always we skip it.

Praise needs no temple. Your plate is already one. Rain, earth, sun, and a dozen hands you'll never meet came together to bring that food to you. You don't have to pray over it. You only have to notice.

Try something today: eat one meal with your full attention, no screen. Just the taste, the warmth, the astonishing fact of being fed. You'll find you feel fuller on less.

A pause of acknowledgment before eating isn't religion; it's appreciation. And appreciation, repeated, changes the way you live. When did you last savor a meal instead of just finishing it?
