Me pregunté qué era.
No necesitas ir a ningún lugar especial.

For five years I walked the same beach every day with my dog. A cigarette in one hand, my phone in the other, a cup of coffee. I stared at the ground and walked as fast as I could, always thinking about the past or planning the future.
A week after I learned to Ascend, I was walking that same beach and heard a repeating sound. I wondered what it was. It was the waves — the same ones that had been there every day for five years, and that I had never once heard. I stopped, watched the sun melting into the sea, and burst into tears.
That is Praise: not a ritual, but the simple act of being present to what is already here. Life had not become more beautiful that morning. I had finally stopped running long enough to see it.
You don't have to go anywhere special. The next cup of coffee, the face of someone you love, the light coming through the window — all of it is enough, if you truly look. Today, stop in front of one ordinary thing and see it as if for the first time.
