Day 18: Ascendant Consciousness and the Anchor

There are states of consciousness that most people never hear about until they experience them. The first one is called Ascendant consciousness. It is the moment when you become aware of something bigger than yourself — not bigger in size, but bigger in truth. The source of all that is. Some people call it God. Some call it the universe. Some call it love. It does not matter what name you use. What matters is that you feel it: a presence, a stillness, a knowing that you are not separate from anything. This awareness is like an anchor that drops into the sand of the Ascendant, the unchanging truth. When a wave comes — and waves are your thoughts, your emotions, the stresses of daily life — the anchor can get pulled out. You lose the connection. But then you return to the practice, and the anchor drops again. The wave comes again. The anchor pulls out again. You re-anchor. This happens hundreds, thousands of times. And then one day, something shifts. The anchor does not pull out anymore. The waves still come — thoughts still arise, emotions still move through you — but they cannot dislodge you from the Ascendant. You are always rooted. Always conscious of your connection with all that is. That is called Perpetual consciousness. It is not a fantasy. It is the natural result of dropping the anchor over and over, until it holds fast. This is why we practice with eyes open — to build the shield and drop the anchor, even in the middle of life.
